What a surprise for us. Rod Phillips’s comprehensive article Naramata Bench: Okanagan Valley’s sweet spot? in the esteemed World of Fine Wine magazine was recently released.
“There’s something very special about the Naramata Bench sub-region on the southeastern side of British Columbia’s Lake Okanagan,” the article begins, and Rod dove deep into our grapes, terroir and style.
We were so pleased to read that Rod gave our Vig Len’s Cuvée Pinot Noir the highest score of any of his recommended wines from the Naramata Bench.
“Domaine Roche Vig Len's Cuvée Pinot Noir 2020 A small lot of clone 828 aged 14 months in Burgundy barrels. It shows finely nuanced and well- focused fruit and top notes of spice, with perfectly calibrated acidity. 95 points”
— Rod Phillips
We find it so satisfying that this wine was recognized, because Len and this bottling mean so much to us personally.
Kudos also to our friends and neighbours featured in this article, who showed Rod how dazzling the Naramata Bench can be. We did this together.
If you would like to taste our 95 point Pinot Noir, then please do order yourself a bottle, or a case, of Len’s Cuvée. It will age easily for ten years, but is ready to drink now.

An homage to Len Kozier, the grape grower that gave us our start. Distinctly deep cherry, dark coffee grounds. A neighbourly conversation over an aged cedar fence. Cozy as a red flannel shirt, structured as crisp black denim. Friendship in a bottle.
Braised lamb shank. Couscous with currants and almonds. Salty black olive tapenade on baguette. M’sakhan flatbread and olive oil.
